Rachel Uchitel Accuses Matt Hahn of Defamation Over 'Cruel and Inhumane' Accusations

Rachel Uchitel is slamming comments made by her husband Matt Hahn after he filed for divorce citing "cruel and inhumane treatment."

Uchitel's publicist released a statement on Wednesday denying accusations that the former Tiger Wood's mistress abused Hahn and accused her soon-to-be- ex-husband of defamation.

"While it remains Ms. Uchitel's desire to resolve this matter in a private manner, she will if necessary, with the assistance of her attorneys and public relations counsel, vigorously defend herself against Matt Hahn's false and defamatory claim of, 'cruel and inhumane treatment,'" publicist Howard Bragman said in a statement obtained by E! News.

The couple, who has one daughter together, was married in a private ceremony in Las Vegas in October 2011 and welcomed their daughter into the world in May 2012.

The divorce papers were filed in Monday, and a statement released on Wednesday by Hahn's attorney is requesting privacy for the family during this difficult time.

"All attorneys involved are dedicated to bringing this matter to a fair and equitable resolution. Mr. Hahn loves his daughter Wyatt and only wishes the best for her. Every effort will be made to achieve those goals without protracted litigation. I ask that the media respect Mr. Hahn's privacy in this matter and direct any inquiries to The Kepanis Law Firm, P.C., rather than pursuing Mr. Hahn directly. Thank you," the statement reads.

The 37-year-old Uchitel came to prominence after it was revealed that she was one of the many mistresses linked to Tiger Woods in 2010.

Before marrying Hahn, Uchitel was engaged to James Andrew O'Grady, an investment banker who was killed during the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. She was also married to Wall Street trader Steven Ehrenkranz.
