'Rainbow Six Siege' DLC: Operation Black Ice Operators Leaked
A set of images have leaked recently. These are supposedly the new operators that will be featured in the upcoming "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC Operations Black Ice.
User Fireinyoyrhole said he was lurking the /vg/ Rainbow 6 General thread and apparently got access to these photos of two new playable characters that were posted on Reddit. The first one is a defense operator named Frost, who "uses a mechanical trap to incapacitate enemies." Her primary weapon is a Super 90, her secondary weapon is an Mk1 9mm, and her gadget of choice is a nitro cell. Meanwhile, the second one is an attack operator named Buck, who has the ability to "toggle [an] under-barrel shotgun attachment on his main weapon." His primary weapon is C8-SFW, his secondary weapon is an Mk1 9mm, and his gadget of choice is a stun grenade. The new operators are reportedly part of "Rainbow Six Siege's" first free DLC.
In addition to the two new operators, Operations Black Ice is also expected to add a map to the main game. The DLC's map was leaked earlier this month in a Ubisoft Mexico trailer that has now been set to private. But according to previous reports, the trailer showed a frozen, shipwrecked yacht in an icy tundra (screenshot below). This image differed from what was seen in the US version of the trailer (video below) that seemed to feature a submarine rising from the icy seas.
Operations Black Ice has been confirmed to release a couple of weeks from now, on Feb. 2. The DLC was originally scheduled for a January release.
Needless to say, the leaked images are not official. They could also possibly be mock-ups, albeit very well done, according to PC Gamer. "Rainbow Six Siege" fans will have to wait for Feb. 2 when the Operations Black Ice DLC will finally roll out and find out for themselves if these leaks proved to be correct or not.
