'Rainbow Six Siege' Mid-Season Reinforcements Update: Developer Continues to Improve Game With Operator Buffs and Balance Improvements
Ubisoft's first-person tactical shooter video game, "Rainbow Six Siege" has just received its much-anticipated mid-season update, while also kicking off new Tech Test Servers that are scheduled to drop in the coming weeks.
The "Mid-Season Reinforcements" patch may have already brought in some significant updates that could change the name of the game, but the treat does not simply stop there. This week gave players of the game a couple of buffs to Glaz and Doc's skills and abilities. Glaz's sniper scope now has thermal visual feedback, which gives the player the ability to see opponents through smoke grenades, Capitao's micro smoke grenades, and Smoke's gas canisters. Close quarters combat may have just become a more exciting and interesting feat following this buff. This update will not, however, give players the ability to see through walls.
Another buff that came with this week's update was an increase of 20 HP to Doc's overheal, which gives players a full 140 health bar. The update has also reportedly given Buck one extra magazine for his weapon known as the "skeleton key."
Aside from these buffs, the developers are still aiming to balance out, tweak and fix the game to its most optimal conditions, Shack News reported. It is for this reason that new Tech Test Servers have been scheduled to come in the following weeks.
Additional improvements that came on the latest update included a handful of weapons balancing like the decrease in the size of the Red Dot, the Reflexes Sight and the Holo Sight Reticle, which makes them less obstructive to allow players to aim with better precision.
The developer team has also resolved the issue of the Zero Ranked MMR Exploit, wherein an exploit resulted in the winning team gaining zero ranked MMR points. An abandon penalty will also be implemented for players who will exit a ranked game during the final kill cam. The developers have promised to keep monitoring this issue and will gladly welcome any constructive feedback from the community.
Expect more Operator and Balance improvements in the coming weeks.
