Rare Orange Lobsters and Massachusetts Find, 1 in 10 Million (VIDEO)

No one was really all the aware that lobster came in different colors, that was until five lobsters showed up on a restaurants door step donning a new summer hue.

Bill Sarro, owner of Massachusetts seafood chain Fresh Catch, has found himself in possession of a lucky find. While one of his retail managers at a Massachusetts Fresh Catch was unpacking lobsters that had been delivered to the restaurant, he came across what he thought was at first a prank- five orange lobsters lined up in a row.

Perhaps the lobsters had already been cooked, the manager mused. But when the lobsters began to squirm the manager knew that something was strange. What he didn't know is that he had come across the second most rare lobster in the world.

The lobsters hail from Quebec's Magdalen Islands and with five orange in one batch, their ancestors may have something in their genes that makes them more likely to strike a different hue. While it can be confirmed just how rare the orange color is, it is estimated that they are about 1 in 10 million while blue are about 1 in five million.

There is however, one lobster that is the fairest of them all and it is snow white. Literally. The most rare lobster to find is a white lobster, although they do exist according to Tony LaCasse , a spokesman from Boston's New England Aquarium who spoke with Yahoo News.

While the aquarium already has one to boast about, they wouldn't mind getting their hands on a few more but Sarro has stated that he isn't just ready to let them go.

"They were filming a movie with Kate Winslet a mile away, but more people came here," said Sarro. "It's great for business."

With that said, for the time being Sarro plans on keeping the lobsters on display in five of his restaurants.
