Ravens' Brendon Ayanbadejo Trash Talk on Twitter Stokes Patriots Rivalry Ahead of Game
It is a well-known fact that the NFL's New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens have a rivalry, so it was no surprise when a player from the Ravens stared talking trash about the Pats, given that the two will face each other on Sunday.
Baltimore linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo posted some inflammatory comments on Twitter during the first half of the Patriots AFC divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans.
"In a sport that is predicated on mano y mano, 'let's hurry-up n snap it' = b---- a--ness," Ayanbadejo tweeted.

New England went on to beat Houston 41-28 leading to a meeting between the two foes for the second time this season. It will also be the second straight year the teams will meet in the AFC championship game with a trip to the Super Bowl at stake for the winner.
New England defeated the Ravens 23-20 in last year's AFC championship game, after a Ravens receiver dropped a game-winning pass and the Ravens kicker also missed a last second game tying field goal. The Ravens did beat the Patriots this year in the pair's first meeting this season 30-31 after the Ravens kicker made a last second field goal to win.
Ayanbadejo took exception to the Patriots use of the quick snap offense- it's used to keep defenses off balance- and he likened the move to a cheap shot.
"New England does some suspect stuff on offense," Ayanbadejo, a 3-time Pro Bowler, said on Twitter. "Can't really respect it. Comparable to a cheap shot [before] a fight."
"The hurry snap offense catch [them before] they set up," Ayanbadejo continued. "It's a gimmick … Their offense is good enough to be successful without that."
Ayanbadejo also questioned the integrity of the entire Patriots organization, referencing the spying scandal of 2007 and questionable personal moves.
"You know the same organization that did spygate and cut a guy the day [before] the Super Bowl," he said, referring to receiver Tiquan Underwood after he was released the day before the Super Bowl last year.
