'Ray Donovan' Season 5 Spoilers: Sam Questions Ray's Motives; Mickey Tries to Free Bunchy

The upcoming episode of "Ray Donovan" season 5 will see Sam (Susan Sarandon) doubting Ray's (Liev Schreiber) motives.

The official synopsis of the next episode, titled "Shelley Duvall," stated that Sam will make sure Ray knows his place. She built her empire and is not about to jeopardize it because of Ray, who will be intervening on Natalie's (Lili Simmons) behalf. Meanwhile, Abby (Paula Malcomson) will come to a decision that will stun her entire family.

Elsewhere, Mickey (Jon Voight) will still be trying to get Bunchy (Dash Mihok) off the hook, but his efforts will land him in a war that he was not supposed to be in. Finally, while visiting with Bridget (Kerris Dorsey), Terry (Eddie Marsan) will learn of a truth that will totally shock him.

A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It showed Mickey getting into some serious danger in his attempt to help Bunchy. Sam, on the other hand, warned Ray not to get too close to Natalie and starts questioning whether there is something else between them.

Two other promotional clips have also been released. The first one, titled "I'm So Sorry, Son," found Ray trying to comfort Conor (Devon Bagby), presumably after Abby's big announcement. It was clear that Conor was mad at his mother for what she said, and Ray tried to calm him down. However, his efforts resulted in him getting punched right in the face by his own son. Ray, knowing that Conor was having a difficult time as well, lets it go and hugged him.

The second clip, titled "Just Keep Your Head Down," saw Mickey paying Bunchy a visit in jail. Bunchy was worried that he would never get out, as he said he was threatened with four consecutive life sentences. But Mickey was confident that the threats were meaningless and promised to get his son out.

"Ray Donovan" season 5 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
