8 Reactions to President Trump's Speech to Congress

Americans United for Separation of Church and State took issue with Trump's speech, specifically over the president's support for school choice.
In a statement released Tuesday evening, Americans United Executive Director the Reverend Barry W. Lynn declared that "Public money should be spent on public schools."
"Public schools serve 90 percent of American children. Voucher schemes, though, divert desperately needed public resources away from the public school system to fund the education of a few students at private schools under the guise of reform. But the results are in on vouchers – they don't work," stated Lynn.
