'Real Houewives' Star Sheree Whitfield Fired; Kim Zolciak Next?

Sheree Whitfield recently announced that she will not be returning for the next season of Bravo's hit reality TV show the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," and some critics have begun speculating what exactly prompted her sudden departure.

"After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I'm tired of the fighting and the cattiness," Whitfield told WetPaint.com.

"I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck," she added.

The mother of three, who is an original cast member, was reportedly fired by Bravo producers due to her salary demands, according to S2S Magazine.

Whitfield was the third highest earner, behind co-stars Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak, earning a reported $550,000 salary per season plus a $150,000 bonus if she showed up for the reunion special which she was dissatisfied with.

The 42-year-old allegedly approached the show's producers demanding more money but ended up in tears when they not only refused to give her a pay increase but decided that it was time to let her go.

Whitfield had not addressed the axing rumors until Wednesday, although a friend did previously hint that there very well could be some truth to rumors that she was asked to leave and did not actually leave voluntarily.

"The way Bravo operates is that they don't tell you [anything]. So, I don't know. I heard people talking about it, but until one of the producers tells me, I don't know it for a fact," an insider told S2S.

New reports suggest that Whitfield was not the only housewife who was fired, and that Zolciak, 33, was also fired, although the pregnant mother of three has not yet addressed the rumors, according to Media Take Out.
