Real Housewives of Atlanta Earnings Report is Fake, Says Andy Cohen
The earnings for cast members of the reality television show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" were revealed in a recent report but now a Bravo TV executive is revealing that the salaries are not accurate.
An Us Weekly source reportedly revealed some of the earnings for the cast members who will return to season six. At the close of the reality television series' fifth season, all of the cast members reportedly signed on for an additional season of the show.
"NeNe [Leakes], Kim [Zolciak] and Kandi [Burruss] make $800,000 a season but they can make more for doing certain special things, like Kim taking off her wig," the source told Us magazine. "Phaedra and Porsha make $50,000 per season. Kenya is very happy to be back!"
Kenya Moore, the controversial cast member who joined the show during season five stands to earn $600,000 according to US Weekly sources. However, Bravo TV executive and host Andy Cohen took to Twitter to refute the claims after one fan questioned him about Moore's high earnings.
"I'll let you know when there's a correct article about Bravo stars and salaries," Cohen tweeted. "It hasn't happened yet."
Earlier this year, reports swirled about 45-year-old actress NeNe Leakes signing on to appear in season six of the show for $1 million, according to Radar Online reports. A source close to the production of the show reportedly spoke up for the reason for Leakes' salary increase.
"NeNe is the one viewers watch," the source reportedly told RadarOnline.com. "She knows that, Bravo knows that and that's why they gave her a raise."
In previous seasons of her reality television series, Leakes coined the phrase "I'm very rich!" However, the reports about her making $1 million next season may not be true, according to Cohen's recent tweets.
