'Real Housewives of Atlanta' News: Eva Marcille Joins Season 10 Cast

A brand new face is joining the cast of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" for season 10. The show is set to return for its 10th installment soon, and it is expected to be just as epic as the previous run.

New reports about season 10 suggest that "The Young and the Restless" star Eva Marcille will join the upcoming season of the reality show. The news was confirmed by the Bravo network earlier this week via US Weekly.

In "The Young and the Restless," the actress played the role of Tyra Hamilton and appeared from 2008 to 2009. After her stint in the daily soap, she went on to sign with other projects, including "Crossover," "I Think I Love My Wife," and "Sister Code." She rose to fame after bagging the grand prize in the third cycle of "America's Next Top Model" in 2004.

In a recent interview, Marcille confirmed her upcoming stint on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and revealed how excited she was to become part of the reality show. "I'm so excited to join NeNe and the ladies for the 10th season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Atlanta and America, get ready!" she said.

According to reports, Marcille will only be a "part-time Housewife" in the show. Despite that, she will reportedly earn around $100,000 in every episode. The actress will reportedly not be a full-time cast member because of her husband Michael Sterling, who is set to run for mayor in Atlanta. Reports say that the couple does not want the show to serve as a distraction during the campaign, which is understandable, considering how the reality show is legendary for issues of divorce, cheating and sex rumors and more.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 10 will be an epic season for the show, judging from the most recent trailer featuring the drama involving Kenya Moore. The show is set to return on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
