'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Phaedra Parks Welcomes Second Baby Boy

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks and husband Apollo Nida welcomed their second child on Wednesday.

The reality TV couple, who has been married four years, were thrilled after Parks, 40, gave birth to a "healthy" baby boy via c-section. They are also parents to a 2-year-old boy, Ayden.

"Mother and baby are happy and healthy," a representative for the pair told People magazine.

The pair appeared to be in a much better place during season 5 of the hit Bravo reality TV show following reports in 2012 claiming they were facing marital woes. Producers were reportedly intent on capturing their arguments on camera, but Nida, 33, allegedly opposed the idea.

"The producers from RHOA are trying to snoop and shoot certain scenes of them arguing, but Apollo is just so aggressive he has started to refuse to partake in any filming. Apollo has even started threatening to take their son Ayden and leave," a source previously told allabouttrh.com.

Reports of a divorce also began swirling when Parks, who is an Atlanta-based attorney, was spotted without her wedding ring.

"Phaedra is amazing with her son Ayden and that's her main focus throughout all of this. Phaedra showed up to Church Sunday with Ayden, without a ring and without Apollo!" the insider revealed.

Parks received widespread criticism about her marriage to Nida, who is a convicted felon, particularly over his interaction with co-star Kenya Moore. Viewers accused the pair of flirting on the show.

"I thought it was very distasteful and very inappropriate, but that's who she is," Parks, who blamed Moore for the alleged flirting, said. "You can't make a loose woman a lady."

Some of Parks' other co-stars, including NeNe Leakes, have openly questioned her marriage to Nida, at one point describing the union as "strange."

Nida, who was convicted of felony possession of a firearm among other offenses, was previously sentenced to 18 years in prison and began serving his sentence in July 2004.

Parks married Nida shortly after he was paroled in May 2009 and she has constantly been forced to defend him in the press. Some critics suspect this may have previously added strain to their marriage during the time that divorce reports surfaced.
