Russell Armstrong Dead: Real Housewives Star in Suicide
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, Russell Armstrong has killed himself on Monday, according to reports.
Police found Armstrong dead when they arrived at the 47-year old reality TV star’s home, and stated that the death appears to be a suicide by hanging. The LA Coroner’s department received the star’s body and is currently performing an autopsy.
Motives for Armstrong to commit suicide are not available, since the star did not leave behind any kind of note, according to LA Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

His ex-wife, 40-year-old Taylor Armstrong, filed for divorce on July 15 of this year. “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” documented the couple’s troubled relationship, and the upcoming season was set to play up the drama surrounding their divorce.
The two have a 5-year old daughter together named Kennedy.
Russell Armstrong also fathered two other children from previous relationships including 11 and 13 year old sons.
Commentators are saying that Russell’s troubled life could have led to this tragedy. Aside from the divorce, the reality TV star was a venture capitalist experiencing many problems with his business. He frequently complained about the stress of having all this documented on a reality show.
He also commented on his divorce and how the show affected it recently.
“Did I push her? Yes, maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were,” said Armstrong in an interview with People. “This show has literally pushed us to the limit.”
Bravo, the network that airs Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently deciding how to work around Armstrong’s death.
It is also reported that the taping of this upcoming season has already taken its toll on Taylor Armstrong even before the news of her ex-husband’s suicide.
“Unfortunately for me this year, there were a lot more tears, a lot more pain,” said Taylor to Eonline last week. “I know it’s going to be hard for me to watch a lot of [the new season]. It’s been such an emotional ride for me this year. And it’s one thing to experience it, but then to watch it again on television and know that millions of other people are watching, it’s going to be tough.”
TMZ reported a suspicious cut above Taylor Armstrong’s eye, an injury that supposedly occurred four days before Russell’s suicide.
However, friends of the reality star claim the two issues are not related and that she suffered the cut from playing football.
Taylor has previously stated that Russell physically abused her, and claimed that was part of the reason she filed for divorce.
