'Real Housewives' Taylor Armstrong Fired, Replaced With 'Bully' Faye Resnick?

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong is reportedly getting replaced in season four of the hit Bravo reality TV show.

The 40-year-old single mom endured a series of dramatic events in recent years, including her ex-husband Russell's suicide, which at one point boosted ratings. However, Bravo TV executives reportedly now want fresh faces.

"Producers are looking at other options. They feel like Taylor's storyline has become too dark and they need to shake things up a bit," a source reportedly told E! News.

Among the list of contenders is the show's villain Faye Resnick, who is often accused of bullying cast mates such as Brandi Glanville. Resnick, 59, is best known for testifying against O.J. Simpson during his infamous 1995 murder trial months before going off to pose nude for a men's magazine. Her potential casting has viewers up in arms.

During a previous episode, Resnick, who makes occasional appearances, confronted Glanville, 40, over a dispute involving another housewife, Adrienne Maloof.

Glanville, a former model, was reduced to tears after being attacked by Resnick during a dinner party that was hosted by Glanville's co-star Kyle Richards. Richards, who is a very close friend of Resnick's, was forced to comfort Glanville after Resnick lambasted her in an attempt to defend Maloof.

Also in the running is singer Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster, who is a 41-year-old English model and photographer.

"They have been talking to quite a few new people," the source continued. "There are also discussions about Faye Resnick possibly coming onboard as a full time-member."

Producers had reluctantly signed Armstrong on to film season 3 with the understanding that they would use her alleged drinking problems as a plot line. It was also claimed that she would be phased out and eventually fired, according to Radar Online.

"Producers reluctantly decided to sign Taylor for the next season and I think a lot of their decision was based purely on the fact that they felt bad just dumping her after all she went through last year," a source close to the production allegedly told Radar.
