'Real Housewives' Teresa Giudice Admits Fame Ruined Her Family (VIDEO)
"Real Housewives of New Jersey" breakout star Teresa Giudice recently admitted that fame ruined her family relationships and the reality star is finally opening up bout suffering a breakdown after the season four reunion show special.
Giudice, who was embroiled in vicious feuds with her co-stars throughout season four of the hit Bravo Tv reality show, recently appeared on the "Anderson" show where she opened up about how fame ruined her relationship with her estranged brother Joe.
"I've never gone without speaking with him. This Christmas was the first Christmas that I didn't see my brother," Giudice told CNN host Anderson Cooper on his daytime talkshow.
"We used to always have Sunday dinners. You know when things got ruined? When they came on TV. It has been a year that I haven't spoken to him because of fame. I hear that fame ruins a family and it has ruined my family," she went on.
The 40-year-old mother of four came face to face with her estranged brother and his wife, Melissa Gorga, 33, at the reunion show, which airs on Sunday night. Gorga, who joined the reality TV show in season three, has accused Giudice of plotting to set her up by making it appear as though she used to work as a stripper although Giudice denies ever doing so,
Giudice claims that the incident, dubbed "strippergate" by Bravo, caused an explosive rift between her and her brother and she broke down after the couple confronted her about it at the reunion show.
"I said to myself I wasn't going to get upset, but I couldn't help it. After the taping was done, I broke down. I started crying, and I couldn't stop," Giudice told In Touch Weekly.
She claims that the situation escalated when "Melissa grabbed my arms like she wanted to fight me," at Giudice's daughter's birthday party. "I told her to get the hell off me," she went on.
Giudice also admitted that the on-going conflicts have become overwhelming because she constantly feels ganged up on by her Bravo TV cast mates.
"I need help," she said. "Everyone is against me and ganging up on me."
