Real Life Caped Superhero Gets Arrested for Assault

Seattle, Washington’s self-proclaimed superhero, Phoenix Jones, was arrested after spraying several people with pepper spray on Sunday.

Jones told police he was only trying to stop a large brawl in the middle of the street happening outside of a nightclub.

The 23-year-old masked Jones posted a video on his Facebook of the entire ordeal to prove he had only acted in self-defense and said, “[I wouldn’t] ever assault or hurt another person if they were not causing harm to another human being.”

Jones then posted this message on his Facebook page,

“My wife and I have decided to post the video of the recent incident that has been in the news the will be posted in its entirety unedited raw footage there will be screen shots to better view the crime I witnessed and stopped also if you know the person involved in the hit and run attempted murder of the man I saved please contact your local police (I have a screen shot of the license plate and will provide it to the police along with your statement) as soon as my legal team has fully reviewed the video I will post it for you here (Hopefully within the next few hours)."

Jones has already been in the news when back in January he stopped a grand theft auto.

Jones and his crew have been patrolling the streets of Seattle this year.

Following the incident, the victim who is only known as Dan, told KIRO local news, “From the right, this guy comes dashing in, wearing this skin-tight rubber, black and gold suit, and starts chasing him away."

Jones’ real name is Benjamin Foder and he’s the leader of the 10-man superhero group known as Rain City Superhero Movement.

It is said he enters a local comic shop and changes behind the bookshelf to keep his identity a secret.

He wears a bullet-proof vest and stab plates on his costume, and to date has only had his nose broken.
