Chelsea manager Antonio Conte stated that he was pleased with the way his team made the win over Liverpool happen. He added that he saw the right attitude and spirit from each team member. However, he also commented that the players can still improve a lot. Conte also commented that the most important thing during the game was the right spirit within the team. He also noted that his men are working very hard doing two training sessions daily.
Real Madrid to Work Harder
Real Madrid, on the other hand, was defeated by Paris Saint-Germain with a 3-1 win at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. This is the second time that Paris Saint-Germain claimed victory in the International Champions Cup.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane referred to the team's performance as lacking physical prowess since they just started training 10 days ago. He stated that he was happy with the game itself but not the defeat. He further added that the players might have lacked the aggression for a strong rival. Zidane also commented that during the first half of the match, they had all the chances but missed. He assured that they will be doing more and finding automatic moves to try to secure a win.
On July 30, 2016, Chelsea will take on Real Madrid for the International Champions Cup at the Michigan Stadium.
