Real Madrid vs Manchester United Live Stream Free: Watch Online Champions League Football
Real Madrid will take on Manchester United at the Bernabeu in Spain on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Champions League tie. With the game featuring the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, as well as Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson, this promises to be one of the games of the year.
The match will kick off at 7.45 p.m. UK time (2.45 p.m. ET) and can be watched online for free through the live stream links provided below.
Jose Mourinho is one of the few managers who can boast to having a good record against Sir Alex Ferguson; he has played against England's most successful manager 14 times and lost only three of those games.
Mourinho has said recently that his next managerial position will be back in England, and one of the most popular manager's ever in the English Premier League will get a taste of his old rivalry with Ferguson again tonight.
Former United captain Gary Neville was full of praise for Ronaldo in the pre-match talk, telling BBC Radio 5 Live: "Now, Ronaldo is a monster. I saw him on Saturday evening. He picks the ball up in an innocuous position, 30 yards out, does some type of shimmy I can't even describe let alone do, beats a man and whacks it in from 25 yards. You can't defend against that."
He added, "Then he scores a counter-attack goal when he chases 80 yards forward, then he preys on the back of the centre-half and scores a hat-trick inside 30 minutes. You literally need to have two men against him. Even then they might both get beaten."
The match will also pit one of the world's best players, Cristiano Ronaldo, against his former team. Ronaldo was arguably United's best player when he played for them before joining Real, but since joining the reigning Spanish La Liga champions he has been in phenomenal form, scoring at roughly a goal per game.
It will take an immense effort from United's players to contain him, and it should be an intense and intriguing reunion.
The atmosphere inside the Bernabeu is likely to be electric, and the home fans will try to make an intimidating atmosphere for their English visitors. If United can come away from this tie with an away goal and at least within a goal of Real it would make for an amazing return leg next month at Old Trafford.
For United, veteran midfielder Paul Scholes will miss this first leg tie, as he is out with a knee injury. He has not played since January's 4-1 win against Fulham in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, and he will be sorely missed by the United team.
Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick, however, are expected to be recalled.
Real have had the luxury of resting a number of players for this game including midfielders Xabi Alonso, Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira. However, Diego Lopez is expected to continue in goal after regular keeper, Iker Casillas, suffered a broken hand recently.
