Real Madrid will take on Sevilla in a huge Spanish La Liga game on Wednesday. Today's game takes place at the Bernabeu, which should give Real the clear edge as they attempt to extend their lead at the top of the league table over rivals Barcelona. Even though the season is only half way through, many are saying that if Real win here today and then defeat Atletico Madrid in their game on Saturday then they will have snuffed out Atletico's title defense already.
However, skeptics point out that Real have failed to defeat Atletico in all six meetings between the teams this season so far, and so they are far from guaranteed to claim the three points at the weekend.

If Real can pull off two wins in the coming days, they would move 10 points clear from the reigning La Liga champions. They would also move seven points clear of Barcelona - at least for a day until Barcelona plays their game on the road to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is not getting carried away yet though, and he still insists that the La Liga title race will go all the way to the end of the season.
Ancelotti has said, "The game against Sevilla is risky if we don't give our best. The most important match is tomorrow, not the derby. We can increase the gap on our rivals, so we will play our strongest team."
He added, "The league will be resolved at the end of the season, just like last season. It is important to have an advantage at the moment, but nothing is decided yet."
Real will of course be missing star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, for today's game as he completes his recent suspension. They will also be missing Fabio Coentrao, Pepe and Luka Modric, who all have injuries keeping them sidelined.
