'Real Racing 3' for Apple TV Brings Daytona Experience in New Split-Screen Mode
The latest update for Electronic Arts' "Real Racing 3" brings a new split-screen mode. The update, which brings the game to version 4.1.5, also adds the Daytona Experience to the iOS and Apple TV.
Real Racing and NASCAR Team Properties announced the update on Monday, Feb. 15. The update provides enhanced integration with Apple TV and brings a new "Daytona Experience" race pack, among others.
The full game integration for Apple TV includes a new mode called Party Play. This new mode allows for multi-player sessions on Apple TV. This means players can now compete against each other in split-screen mode. The update also adds diverse control options and cross-device Cloud Saves.
Meanwhile, the new "Daytona Experience" race pack allows players to experience Daytona 500 through a brand-new race track called the Daytona International Speedway. The Daytona 500 event takes place from Feb. 16 to March 4 and offers players a chance to unlock four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock cars, as well as a chance to race with racing legends Joey Logano, Matt Kenseth, Chase Elliott, and Kevin Harvick.
"Real Racing 3" players can also participate in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Team Competition. Players can team up with others and use Race Teams to join the two-day event that's happening on Feb. 28 to 29.
The game's version 4.1.5 adds a few more updates to the game. First, there's a brand-new season in Gauntlet. From March 27 to April 2, players can experience Gauntlet Season 4. This season brings another opportunity to win R$ for players who will participate in randomly generated challenges that will test their skills. Players will also have a chance to unlock a limited edition Richard Petty Motorsports NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car, a Ford Fusion.
The Sixth Element is another new event that comes with the update. By participating in this event, players can get behind the wheels of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento.
