The New York Times feels St. James' book is important because of a study conducted that found single women in America exceeded the amount of married women with 49 percent living with a spouse.

“I have to wonder if that is why so many single women I know feel the urgency to get married. That can create lots of undue pressure on themselves, as well as the guys in their lives,” writes St. James.

The book's main goal is to encourage singles with St. James stating, “In the heart of all of us, I believe that there’s a longing for adventure. It’s not just guys that love to live a new story and go on a journey. That’s what dating can be, girls . . . an exciting adventure,” St. James shares. “Yes, it is scary at times and tough to navigate-but it is worth it! And God is shaping us in the process.”

St. James recently was married herself on April 23 of this year to husband Jacob Fink.

St. James, originally from Australia, has released nine albums since 1991, and has been performing since she was 10 before getting discovered by Forefront Records.

What Is He thinking? will be St. James' 11th book.

She has also been in 11 movies.

St. James has three GMA Dove Awards and one Grammy for "Best Rock Gospel Album."
