'Recovery of an MMO Junkie' Episode 2 Spoilers: Moriko's Online Adventures Continue in 'We Don't Know a Thing'

Self-proclaimed elite NEET, Moriko Morioka hardly ever leaves the house after dropping out of the corporate world. But after spending a day as a male game character on a new massively multi-playing online (MMO) game, she seems to have found a new purpose in life on the Japanese romance-comedy series, "Netojuu no Susume," also known as "Recovery of an MMO Junkie."

In real life, 30-year-old Moriko may not have much going on in her life, but as Hayashi in the popular MMO game, "Fruits de Mer," she's a gallant, popular guy with very dedicated guild-mates. She has also found quite a reliable friend in the pretty female character named Lily, who helped her get through her first in-game battle.

With each day that Moriko spends on "Fruits de Mer," she also found herself getting more attracted to Lily, which caused her to turn away from Lily without actually intending to. However, after a conversation with his Guild Master and reaffirming the difference between real-life and the game worlds, she talked to Lily again and invited her to an in-game get-together on Christmas Eve.

But could genuine romance really bloom on an online game? If so, will her Hayashi identity be keeping Moriko in front of her computer for good, are the unexpected turn of events waiting for her on the horizon?

There is also the mystery of Lily's true identity, which is yet to be revealed in future episodes.

On the other hand, the preview for the next episode shows Moriko's guild-mates seemingly wondering if Hayashi is perhaps a NEET. Also, a new character named Yuta Sakurai will be introduced. Could he be the blond, bespectacled guy Moriko briefly interacted with at the convenience store? If so, what role will he be playing in the female protagonist's life?

"Recovery of an MMO Junkie" airs on Mondays late night at 1:40 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
