'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date: Game Shown Off at TGS, but Big Reveals Expected at Paris Games Week Next Month?
While Rockstar Games continue to be mum about "Red Dead Redemption 2," the highly anticipated western shooter sequel recently got some love at the Tokyo Games Show (TGS).
Footage from the title was shown at the event although there is nothing much to see since it was already showcased in the announcement trailer (the only trailer the developer has released so far) back in October.
The "Red Dead Redemption 2" footage provides gamers a look at the picturesque landscapes featured in the game done in painstaking detail. Apart from the rich and grand scale of the world, much about the western shooter remains a mystery.
There is no word yet on what the plot will be and who will be the protagonist whose adventure gamers will follow this time around. Some say the installment will be set prior to the events of the first "Red Dead Redemption" game.
Rockstar is expected to break its silence about the much-awaited sequel at the Paris Games Week, a PlayStation conference that will take place on Oct. 30.
It is rumored to be a big deal of an event so fans expect the studio to show off "Red Dead Redemption 2" in some way, shape or form there. Add to that the fact that the date of the event marks one year since the trailer came out.
At the moment, however, there remains no information on whether or not Rockstar will be at the conference so fans will just have to keep an eye out for updates.
Another major event to look out for is the PlayStation Experience celebration in California, which will take place in December. If it will not be on Paris Games Week, fans hope this will be the venue for some major "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveals.
The timing is also right since "Red Dead Redemption 2" is expected to be unveiled in spring of next year.
