'Red Dwaf' Season 12 News: Series Gets A Trailer and a Release Date

Considering that "Red Dwarf" first premiered in 1988, the series has had a long run with many lessons along the way. Although it may not be at the level of the more mainstream "Doctor Who," the series is still considered to be one of the science fiction classics, which features a healthy dose of comedy.

Recent reports have revealed that "Red Dwarf" is returning for its second season as the showrunners have released a new trailer for "Red Dwarf" season 12.

The trailer featured what to expect of the upcoming season, and if it is anything to go by, it seems that the fans will be in for a funny and nostalgic ride.

The video begins with Lister (Craig Charles), who is shown to be getting the Starbug out of the garage to take a little trip into space. There, he discovers a new gas moon. Inevitably, Ritter (Chris Barrie) was quick to give it his name as his way of claiming it. Furthermore, the trailer also featured the rest of the cast. Cat (Danny John-Jules), Holly (Norman Lovett), and Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) will all be making a comeback in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the episode titles for "Red Dwarf" season 12 have also been revealed as the following: "Cured," "Siliconia," "Timewave," "Mechocracy," "M-Corp," and "Skipper." The series' network, Dave, has been working hard to keep the hype up for season 12 as they have been keen on revealing some crucial details about the season, including Lovett's return as the relatively useless computer.

Fans will not have long to wait before the release of "Red Dwarf" season 12. It is slotted to premiere on Dave on Oct. 12. In the meantime, they are advised to spread the word to their friends and family, as well as catch up to the series if they haven't already.
