'Reign' Season 3 Episode 4 Spoilers: Magic Helps Francis Cheat Death, Mary Offers Life for the King
Historical fantasy romance television series "Reign" season 3 is set to air its fourth episode in the coming week and it looks like it's going to be an intense one as King Francis' (Toby Regbo) health continues to deteriorate.
In the teaser video released, it showed the king lying in bed almost out of breath. But his beloved wife, Mary (Adelaide Kane) is just not ready to let him die yet and is desperate to find a way to bring him back to mint condition. According to Fashion & Style, the Queen of Scots will order the presence of a healer who is known to have magical powers that can help save the life of Francis.

But everything comes with a price especially for the life of someone. The preview revealed that another life will have to be taken in order to give healing to another. Mary, crying and desperate to save her husband, offered herself by saying, "If the price is my life for his, bring him back."
The promo trailer then showed Francis quickly breathing back to life. The question of how the magic will save him will be unveiled when the show returns. And because he's going to live again, it only means that episode four isn't the time yet that Regbo will be exiting the show.
As detailed in Venture Capital Post, the show will have character deaths this season and one of them is Regbo's character. Sources also said that fans will still be seeing King Francis II in the upcoming episodes.
Meanwhile, the king's near-death situation isn't the only thing that Mary will be facing in the fourth episode.
According to the synopsis found in Cartermatt, Mary's ailing mother (guest star Amy Brenneman) sent her an urgent message telling her about how things have gotten worse in Scotland. Because of that, Mary will be asking help from Francis to help her solve the crisis. She will also be dealing with the machinations of Catherine (Megan Follows), who is also expected to go up against Narcisse (Craig Parker) as she struggles her way through in becoming the regent to Charles (Spence MacPherson).
"Reign" season 3 will air episode four titled "The Price" on Nov. 6 at The CW.
