'Reign' Season 3: Will Mary Be Forced to Wed Again?
"Reign" season 3 episode 8 could see Mary, the Queen of Scots, being forced to wed again, based on the latest synopsis.
The CW has released the official synopsis for "Reign" season 3 episode 8 titled "Our Undoing." The description says Mary and Catherine will have to prevent France and Scotland from inciting a war against Spain after Don Carlos' accident, but this effort may force Mary to forget her own desires and re-marry again, according to Fashion & Style.
When the series returns next year, Mary may entertain another marriage proposal to gain more power and save her country, the Lawyer Herald reports.
Catherine, on the other hand, will be accused of poisoning her late son King Francis. But Mary will have a conversation with Lola and discuss the possibility of Narcisse framing the queen just to become a regent for Charles. However, Lola will refuse to believe this idea, the report relays.
The next episode of "Reign" could also introduce Henry Stewart, Lord Darnley, the second husband of Mary. Historical records reflect a marriage between her and her cousin Henry on July 29, 1565 in Scotland. The introduction of Henry could be an effort to reduce the shock of viewers when they finally get hitched in the future, the report explains.
It is worth noting that there were earlier declarations about Spain and Mary meeting at a crossroad. The Christian Post previously reported that war would be waiting for Spain and Mary's kingdom, the report adds.
Meanwhile, the new promotional photos for "Our Undoing" show Mary talking to Lola about her suspicions about Narcisse.
The third season of "Reign" will feature 18 episodes with preparations that will run until March. January will feature episodes 8, 9, and 10. The schedule of the remaining episodes of the series has yet to be announced.
"Reign" season 3 will return on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
