Relief Organizations Continue thier Mission Work in Iraq
Iraq -- Despite rampant terrorist threats and consequent bombings by the U.S. in Iraq, evangelical relief agencies continue to provide food, medicine and supplies to those in need.
Tamara Dutch with Food for the Hungry said the organization is reaching to local churches to gain credibility to share their faith.
"Food for the Hungry is known for going to the hard places. And, as long as we are assured that our staff or our partners will be safe we will continue to go to these places, said Dutch. "We have distributed to families in both Baghdad and Mosul. (In) Baghdad Food for the Hungry and its partners have helped a little over 1,000 families (and) 1,000 families also in Mosul.
According to Dutch, people can help in a number of ways.
"They can donate by going to our web site at www.fh.org or you can call 800-2-hunger.
