'Religious' College Student Nearly Decapitates Friend Accused of Practicing Witchcraft
A 21-year-old college student has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly trying to decapitate a friend who he believed to be practicing witchcraft.
Isaiah Zoar Marin was taken into custody in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Thursday and charged with first-degree murder in the near-decapitation death of Jacob Crockett, 19. Marin reportedly called police and admitted to killing someone. Court documents obtained by Tulsa World stated that he began "rambling" about sacrificing a person and then told a different dispatcher that he "hacked them to death with a machete."
Marin has been described as a "religious zealot" who was a "heavy drug user" by the victim's brother, who arrived at the crime scene later on Wednesday, after the murder.

He often posted to his Facebook account about his faith and reported call to take on demons.
"OH YEAH I LOOOOOOOOOOVE GOD! No one can stop me! NO ONE! Bhahahahahahahahahahahahbaahah! YYESS! I AM FREE FROM MY MORTAL COILS! I am free from the ways of the world! HALLEUIAH ALLEILUYAHH! Praise the Lord God YAHWEH! PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!! PRAISE JESUS!!! PRAISE JESUS! THANK THE LORD! Thank you lord thank you so much God you are so good to me it hurts good!!!! AAAAAAAAAHH THANK YOU!" he posted in August.
Later, he noted that "no one can stand the power of the meme Gods" and just days later posted about trying to "take on a demon."
"Tried to take on a demon and God had to help me through the tough parts. Got to be careful with my words and pay closer attention to my emotions," he wrote. "Need to figure out how to keep on speaking when I'm in the presence of the Lord God."
"There was evidence at the scene indicating the suspect was involved in the use of illegal drugs," Stillwater Police Capt. Randy Dickerson said at a news conference.
The victim was the son of an Oklahoma highway patrol trooper, and Dickerson noted that the family asked "only for privacy and respect."
