Will and Jada Smith Divorce Rumors Continue; Marc Anthony to Blame?

Representatives for both Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith came down hard on rumors yesterday that the Hollywood couple had plans to separate, but new information has emerged indicating that there may be truth to the tale and that Marc Anthony may be to blame.

Celebrity website TMZ was one of the first online publications to reach out to representatives of the Smiths, who knocked down rumors of a separation, as reported Tuesday by In Touch Weekly.

Wednesday morning, TMZ published a report saying that Will and Jada were indeed "having significant problems in their marriage, but they have NOT made a decision to separate."

The reported cited multiple sources connected to the couple.

The sources claimed that a separation was "definitely a possibility."

Both Will and Jada issued statements Tuesday insisting that their marriage was "intact." A statement made to TMZ specifically made mention of singer Marc Anthony, the celebrity website reported.

Anthony, who recently separated from wife Jennifer Lopez, appears in the USA medical drama "Hawthorne."

Both TMZ and In Touch Weekly had reports Wednesday that Anthony visited Pinkett Smith at the Smiths' second home in Hidden Hills, Calif., in April or August to watch a DVD.

In Touch Weekly took the allegation further, reporting that Will, allegedly suspicious for months that his wife of 13 years had been carrying on an affair with the singer, made a surprise visit to the family home and apparently found Anthony "with" the "Hawthorne" lead actress.

The entertainment magazine did not explain Will's alleged discovery in detail, but its unnamed source claimed that the "Men in Black" star left the home "crying."

TMZ reported Wednesday that the Smiths, including Willow, Jaden, and Trey, were taking a family trip. The celebrity site speculated that the trip may be a last-ditch effort to keep the marriage from falling apart.

Will and Jada, who met in 1995 on the set of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," have been viewed by fans as the quintessential Hollywood couple.

Rumors of a separation and divorce have sent fans into a tailspin.
