'Resident Evil 7' DLC News: Third Major DLC Will Offer Extra Content
"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is getting a new downloadable content (DLC) soon in the form of "Not a Hero," which features a familiar face. But this is not the only content to expect in the coming months.
So far, only two of the three promised DLCs were released for "Resident Evil 7" and those are the first and second "Banned Footage" expansions.
These "Resident Evil 7" DLCs each contained a couple of new scenarios and an extra bonus mode, but it looks like fans will get more than that in the third add-on pack. This is what the game's producer Masachika Kawata implied during his interview with Forbes.
"There will be an additional story episode in the third add-on pack. We'll have more details soon," he said when asked about the season pass and deluxe editions for "Resident Evil 7."
It is unclear what it will be all about, but it might be safe to say it will be along the lines of the "Not a Hero" DLC, which brings back Chris Redfield, the protagonist in three previous "Resident Evil" installments.
This update will be available for free this spring. The curious title of the DLC, as well as the involvement of Redfield, had many mystified about what this content entails.
Redfield was always portrayed as a hero, one adamantly against the evil Umbrella Corporation. The revelations about this free "Resident Evil 7" update so far put him in a different light.
Some speculate that he will be a full-fledged bad guy in this DLC, which will be a shame for those who have witnessed him develop into a formidable hero in the franchise.
There are theories that the Redfield players will see in this "Resident Evil 7" DLC will be a clone of the hero, and an evil one at that. Others would like to think he is just going to act as a bad guy to infiltrate the enemy.
