'Resident Evil 7' News: 'Banned Footage' DLCs Hit Xbox One and PC

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" gamers on the Xbox One and PC will finally be able to get their hands on the "Banned Footage Vol. 1" and "Banned Footage Vol. 2" released for the game.

The downloadable content (DLC) packs were first made available to the PlayStation 4 back on Jan. 31 and Feb. 14, respectively.

The DLCs introduce new stories in "Resident Evil 7" via tapes. "Banned Footage Vol. 1" offers to win an extra mode to boot. First is called Nightmare, which challenges players to survive the night being pursued by hordes of enemies.

The second one is Bedroom, which sees helpless captive Clancy break out of the unfamiliar room he wakes up in. Apart from the fact that it is full of puzzles to solve, he will also have to make sure the sharp-eyed Marguerite does not notice.

The first "Resident Evil 7" DLC includes an extra mode called Ethan Must Die, "an endlessly replayable mode that changes each time you play it."

Here, players will "never play the same way twice." When players die, they start over, but there are randomized item boxes that will help them get better chances while "finding where [the player] last died will grant [him/her] one of the items [he/she] lost."

The second "Resident Evil 7" DLC, "Banned Footage Vol. 2," also offers a couple of new tapes and an extra mode.

The first tape is 21, which, as fans would have guessed, challenges players to the gambling game. However, Lucas has added his own twist to it. The stakes come in the form of life and limb for two complete strangers.

The second tape, Daughters, shows what things were like before the Baker family's life is changed forever, as what is seen in the main story of "Resident Evil 7."

The extra mode in "Banned Footage Vol. 2" is called Jack's 55th Birthday, which will see fans make sure the celebrant gets his grub fix with a little food hunting with a side of enemy battles. There could only be so much room for food, because the birthday boy will also need to carry weapons.

"Resident Evil 7: Banned Footage Vol. 1" is priced at $9.99 while "Banned Footage Vol. 2" is pricier at $14.99.
