Resurrection Release Date, Spoilers: 'Game of Thrones' Star to Join Cast, Episode 1 Plot Revealed
A "Game of Thrones" star is set to join the cast of "Resurrection" for its new season, premiering this month on ABC.
The newest teaser for season 2 of the show features Michelle Fairley, known for her role as Catelyn Stark, as Jacob's grandmother who returns after being dead for more than three decades. The trailer also teases that "more are coming," so it looks like Fairley's character won't be the only one who will be brought back to life.
first episode, titled "Revelation," will feature the debut of Fairley's character.

"Bellamy awakens alone and abandoned at Arcadia's outskirts, missing a week of his life. As his memory returns, he has a shocking revelation. Meanwhile, Arcadia welcomes one more returned, Margaret Langston ('Game of Thrones' matriarch Michelle Fairley), the powerful matriarch of the Langston family, dead for over three decades," the official ABC synopsis reads.
An image of the promo sees Margaret who is seeing her son Henry (Kurtwood Smith) for the first time since her death, and she looks a lot younger than her son, and Henry looks more like a grandfather to his own son, Jacob.
Season 1 featured the boy Jacob waking up in a field in China, and unable to speak. Immigration and customs agent Marty Bellamy (Omar Epps) was tasked to find out the boy's identity and to know where he came from. Upon learning that Jacob's family is from Arcadia, Missouri, Bellamy thinks that his mission ends there. Though Lucille (Francis Fisher) and Henry Langston are his parents, there's one fact that cannot be overlooked—Jacob died more than 30 years ago.
"Resurrection" premieres its second season on Sept. 28, 9/8c on ABC.
