'Revolution' Season 2 Spoilers; Tonight 'Is A Big Episode'
Tonight's episode of popular NBC adventure drama "Revolution" promises to be an exciting one. Last week ended with a murder, and many fans are wondering how the show will top that turn of events. For spoilers from Elizabeth Mitchell, who stars on the show as Rachel Matheson, read on.
Elizabeth Mitchell recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss tonight's episode as well as other events of the season. She promises that tonight's episode will be intense.
"We're trapped, we have to back up Monroe. We're set down a road that's not of our choosing … Things get more violent, things get more complicated, and there is a tremendous amount of retribution. I can't say from which side, but justice is dealt. It is a big episode," the actress said.
To Mitchell, Rachel's cold, brief speech in the mill last week admonishing Charlie for trusting Monroe underlined the character's faults, because as Charlie's mother, Rachel should have shown more warmth despite her anger.
Mitchell also described how it has been difficult to play Rachel at times. Particularly, it seems the relationship between Charlie and Rachel is an emotional one to portray on screen.
"It's heartbreaking to me, because you want to yell at her, you want to be like, 'Just take a few steps and hug her, you've missed her, you love her, she's your daughter! What are you doing?' But we all do that in our lives, we mess up that way. That's a huge character flaw, but one that I feel we all can be guilty of, so I think it's understandable," she said.
As to what the future holds for Rachel, Mitchell said, "I think she's watching and waiting to make her move."
"Revolution" airs Wednesdays on NBC at 8/9c.
