Rich Kids of Instagram, Tumblr Page Sparks Criticism (PHOTOS)

The Rich Kids of Instagram, a newly launched Tumblr page dedicated to flaunting the wealth of privileged young people, has drawn widespread rebuke for what critics believe to be constant bragging from spoilt brats.

While supporters have argued that those against the Tumblr page may simply be envious of the luxurious lifestyles, others have pointed out that the page description supports the theory that the page is designed as an outlet for rich people to gloat about their wealth and exclude those who have less.

"They have more money than you and this is what they do," the page's blunt introduction states.

The site features a series of photographs, which are set in gilded frames, that show some of the world's most prominent socialites, including Alexa Dell, daughter of Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) CEO Michael Dell, indulging in endless abundance and inherited prosperity.

Although some people can only dream of traveling the world, particularly with the slow exconomy, for the Rich Kids of Instagram exotic vacations are all too common. They regularly post photos not only exploring exotic lands but comfortably being transported to their location via private jets.

Other photos include that of private beaches, large yachts, flamboyant cars, helicopter rides, luxury homes, expensive jewelry, gourmet meals cooked by personal chefs and in one absurd post was a photo of a $107,524 receipt for a series of beverages at a bar in ST Tropez that included $20 for 2 glasses of cola.

Social networking site Twitter has been abuzz in recent days as critics continue to weigh in on the controversial Tumblr page.

"Rich Kids Of Instagram. Part of the problem is spoiled Americans! This is just absurdly unnecessary," Jackie Tuman tweeted.

"Has anybody seen this Rich Kids on Instagram tumblr???? There is TOO much money out here and these kids didn't "earn" any of it," Gus tweeted.

"I was just introduced to "Rich Kids Of Instagram"...I now officially hate my life thank you," Taki Despo tweeted.

"Rich Kids of Instagram" just makes me want to cradle my piggybank and weep," Zachary Dunseith tweeted.

Some critics recently questioned the security risks associated with sharing such personal information and on Monday it was revealed that the Dell family became so concerned with some of Alexa's online postings that they forced the 18-year-old to delete her Twitter account.

It was reported that Alexa posted her high school graduation dinner invitation which showed the public where and when her parents would be within a couple of weeks. In a separate post on the Tumblr page Alexa posted a photo of her brother Zachary eating a buffet meal on his way to Fiji, again giving away his whereabouts to the public.

This did not sit well with her father Michael, who is reportedly worth $15.9 billion, as he reportedly spends an estimated $2.7million a year in security protection for his family.
