'Rick and Morty' Co-Creator's Tweet About Potential Season 3 Cancellation Causes a Stir Online
No exact release date currently set for season 3 of 'Rick and Morty'
Many fans of "Rick and Morty" have been looking online for any trace of the show's third season. And with that level of scrutiny, it's no surprise that even a single tweet potentially related to it has already garnered plenty of reactions - especially since the tweet in question comes from the show's co-creator Justin Roiland.
In the tweet, Roiland acknowledges receiving numerous queries pertaining to the still unreleased third season of the show. Roiland then hints that fans may not react that well "when they find out it's never coming."
Just as Roiland predicted, fans did have strong reactions to the supposed news, with many not wanting to believe it and others commenting that this was not a funny joke.
Still, while many fans may not have approved of this particular joke from Roiland, they can still rest assured that this is indeed nothing more than that.
As the folks over at iDigitalTimes speculated, the tweet from Roiland could have just been the show's co-creator having a little fun and letting off steam after being constantly bombarded by questions about when season 3 of "Rick and Morty" will be coming out.
Notably, the show's co-creator, Dan Harmon, also addressed some questions related to the series previously.
In a series of tweets, Harmon provided answers for numerous questions fans may have about the show. Harmon even mentioned that season 3 is still not here simply because they are still working on it.
Unfortunately for the fans, it simply seems as though the third season of the show is taking a bit more time to finish than expected, though at the very least, they can rest assured that they will see it at some point.
More news about when the third season of "Rick and Morty" may finally make its eagerly anticipated debut should be made available soon.
