'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Episode 9 Spoilers: Beth's Childhood Is Revisited in Penultimate Episode; Jerry Finds New Love?
There are two more episodes left in "Rick and Morty" season 3, the penultimate installment titled "The ABCs of Beth" dropping next week.
This episode will zero back in on the Smith family including Jerry, at least this is what the synopsis and the promo suggest. As per the episode description, Beth's ex-husband "encounters a lady."
This could mean a lot of things in the world of "Rick and Morty" although the immediate thought it implies is that he might find himself in the middle of a possible new romance.

With the team behind the show using the titles and the synopses as red herring to conceal the actual events in the episodes, many fans now know better than taking things at face value, especially since "Rick and Morty" season 3 is coming to a close in two weeks so major events are expected to transpire.
"Rick and Morty" season 3, episode 9 is supposed to see Beth revisit her childhood so viewers might actually learn more about her past and whatever she was doing when her father is off on adventures.
In the promo, Rick shows her the wonderland that he built for her as a child. It is something that every kid could ever dream of and more. However, Beth is not impressed and calls it a "glorified chicken coop." This leads Rick to say:
A dad makes a toilet look like R2-D2 and it breaks the front page of Reddit, but I'm Charles Manson because I gave you your own world instead of an iPad.
Of course, Beth prefers that all the time Rick used in putting together the ultimate fantasy land should have just been spent with her, but her father does not seem to get that.
Either way, it looks like "Rick and Morty" season 3, episode 9 could end up showing what life was like for Beth and Rick before he decided to travel through dimensions instead of spend time with her.
