Rick Ross Sued After Not Paying for Rolexes?
Rick Ross is reportedly being sued after failing to pay $90,000 for three Rolex watches he purchased last year.
Johnny's Custom Jewelry in Texas filed a lawsuit against Ross after he allegedly failed to pay close to $90,000 that they delivered to the 37-year-old rapper last year, according to TMZ reports. The report stated that Ross received an 18K gold watch with 30CT of diamonds, one 18K gold watch with 7CT of diamonds, and one two-tone watch with 5CT of diamonds.
This is not the first lawsuit filed against the rapper in recent months. The Miami, Fla. rapper has reportedly worked with Florida booker Total Access Talent since 2004. However, the tour booking company claims they have not been paid the 10 percent commission owed after organizing a month's worth of tour dates for Ross and his music acts.
A lawsuit was filed by the booking company against Ross in a Miami federal court, according to TMZ last April. The company is looking to receive at least $171,000 in commissions from the rapper.
The news comes after Ross reportedly lost between $3 million and $5 million after being dropped as a Reebok spokesperson. Ross was dropped by his corporate sponsor after he appeared on fellow rapper Rocko's song "U.O.E.N.O."
In the song, Ross speaks about drugging a woman with a drug made popular in the rap industry - molly, which led to protests and Reebok cutting their ties with the music artist.
Reebok released a statement about their decision to cut ties with Ross.
"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so," Reebok said in a statement. "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse. At this time, it is in everyone's best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross."
