Ricki Lake Loses 20 Pounds: How Did She Do It?

Ricki Lake has lost almost 20 pounds in the past six weeks through her training for ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

In addition to the rigorous workouts rehearsing for the show, Lake said she watches her diet to maintain her new figure. Lake says she eats healthy breakfasts like oatmeal and vegetable omelets. She also said she was "obsessed with gazpacho."

"I'm definitely a size six now," she said.

"I'll probably be a size four by the end of it. It's come to the point where it doesn't matter. I no longer wear Spanx."

Previously speaking to People magazine, Lake said that she was holding off shopping for a wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials because of her weight before appearing on "Dancing with the Stars."

“It’s not a bad way to get in shape for your wedding,” said Lake after having lost 12 inches just three weeks

Contestant Chaz Bono has also gotten into better shape while on the show.

“He’s lost five pounds in six days. It’s so great. He says he’s not eating any differently, he’s just dancing,” said Bono's dance partner Lacey Schwimmer ahead of their first performance.

Rob Kardashian has also shed some pounds.

Kardashian’s dance partner, Cheryl Burk commented on his changed appearance, telling People: “His whole physical appearance has changed,” said the dancer. “He’s using different muscles. He’s super sore all the time. I’m not sure if he’s changing his diet, but the cardio is really good.”

Nancy Grace lost 16 pounds but said "I just think women should love their bodies like they are."

Former "Dancing with the Stars" contestants Kirstie Alley, Marie Osmond and Jennie Garth have also lost weight while appearing on the show.
