Ricki Lake Weds Christian Evans

Former talk show host and "DWTS" alum Ricki Lake has tied the knot with boyfriend Christian Evans over the weekend.

The couple had been dating for 18 months and eloped in order to wed in a "secret ceremony" Sunday, according to People magazine.

Lake shared the news with her fans on Twitter, writing, "Yup. This is me.. Sadie Sadie married lady. : ) : ) Love is in the air. Xo," while the 43-year-old attached a photo.

The wedding ceremony took place in southern California.

"It was a beautiful moment I will never forget," Lake told People of her wedding day.

"I wasn't anxious or nervous," she noted. "I was really relaxed and excited."

It is Lake's second marriage; she split from Rob Sussman in 2003. They share two sons, Milo, 15, and Owen, 10. The former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant admitted she doubted that she would ever remarry.

"I didn't think it would happen at this point in my life," said Lake, according to People.

Of meeting Evans, a jewelry designer, Lake said they "just clicked."

"It just feels like he was the right one all along," she added of her 40-year-old husband.

Tuesday, Lake posted on Twitter, "It's official, and I am so happy!"

The elopement comes as a surprise as Lake was outspoken about her engagement and about wedding dress shopping. While on "DWTS" last season, Lake divulged that she was avoiding shopping for a dress ahead of her upcoming nuptials due to her weight, but while rehearsing for the show, the former television personality lost over 20 pounds.

"It's not a bad way to get in shape for your wedding," Lake said to People last year. "I'm definitely a size six now, I'll probably be a size four by the end of it."
