Rihanna and Drake Breakup Leaves 'Diamonds' Singer 'More Guarded and Reserved'

Rihanna and Drake are reportedly calling off their romance for good, leaving Rihanna especially heartbroken.

Rumors surrounding the two singers' relationship have been circulating for months ranging from suggestions that the pair is engaged to gossip about their breakup. However, today, Rihanna and Drake are not only over, but Rihanna is struggling with the heartache, according to Hollywood Life. As a result, the "Monster" singer is avoiding another encounter with love for now.

"Instead of putting her heart and feelings out there on the table, she will be more guarded and reserved," a source close to Rihanna revealed. "She wants to apologize right now if people see her out and she's just not in the mood. She has to be that way in order to protect her feelings. The right man – and emphasis on man – will come along one day. It will be good."

News of Rihanna's heartache comes as no surprise since previous reports suggested that the singer was "avoiding" the Canadian rapper because she knew a breakup was coming.

"She likes him but it's hard when a man tells his girl that they have to pump the breaks on the relationship so he can go out there and [work]," the insider at HollywoodLife added. "It's all good though. She will learn at the end of the day."

Meanwhile, Rihanna was first believed to have been dating Drake earlier this year when the 26-year-old singer accompanied him on the European leg of his Would You Like a Tour tour. Then, Drake reportedly ended the romance with Rihanna due to endless fighting.

"He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem," a source at Us Weekly said. "They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them."

Another source at HollywoodLife reiterated Drake's love for Rihanna, but added that the rapper "doesn't want one of them to get hurt in the end so he really just wants to be her friend and that's where things are now."
