Rihanna, Chris Brown Baby Plans 'Years Down The Line'
Rihanna recently opened up about her plans to have a baby with Chris Brown and despite reports claiming that the couple has been trying to have a baby, a source insists that they are nowhere near ready.
In a new interview with Elle UK the Bajan singer, 25, revealed that she will "probably have a kid" with Brown, 23. While Brown is said to feel the same way about having a child, the couple is content on remaining childless for at least a few years.
"Chris feels the same way he would have a baby with RiRi, but that's way down the road because they're both young and in their prime. But yeah, Chris wants kids one day," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"All in due time that's in the works, but years down the line," the source added.
The couple's relationship has remained at the center of controversy following their 2009 domestic dispute. Brown admittedly assaulted Rihanna and the pair split shortly after however they have since reconciled.
"You don't have that feeling with everybody so when you have it you don't want to let go of it. I would definitely say that [Chris Brown] is the one I have that kind of relationship with," Rihanna told Elle.
"Right now that's just what we want, a great friendship that's unbreakable," she said. "Now that we're adults we can do this right. We got a fresh start and I'm thankful for that."
In February it was claimed that the tumultuous couple was planning an extravagant wedding allegedly set for July.
"They want tattoo artists, fire breathers and a near-naked waitstaff. They're even talking about having pre-rolled joints at the reception," a source told Star magazine.
While they are yet to address the claims, the couple has received full support from family members including Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, who has forgiven Brown for assaulting his daughter.
"Whatever makes her happy. I hope one day she will get married. Everyone adores Chris; he's a super guy," Fenty told Life & Style magazine.
