Rihanna Gives Fan Relationship Advice

Rihanna, the 25-year-old Barbadian pop star, is advising her fans about the matters of love.

When one fan asked the popular singer for relationship advice in a private Twitter message, he shared her response for the world to see.

"Hey Rih, I hope it's not a bad time to message. Just been down lately and wondering if you had any words of encouragement. Trust issues with men," @Jamar84's original message to Rihanna reads.

Rihanna surprised her fan with her compassionate response.

"Anytime I have trust issues, I often assume that it has a lot to do with myself. Most of the time it's difficult to differentiate. Intuition and insecurities," she responded. "But no one ever wants to wait to figure it out. Whatever we do, we don't want to feel stupid!"

The singer continued by adding, "So we tend to jump the gun with no evidence to back it up. That's the biggest mistake anyone could ever make."

The advice that Rihanna gave to her fan seemed to be something that she also personally went through.

"My advice, which is exactly what I've done, is if s--- isn't making sense to me, I'm out. I mean cold turkey," she wrote. "I always need to step out of it to see it for what it is cuz I refuse to let a man play me. If he has no respect, he just doesn't! But you don't have to allow it or be bound by it [sic]."

Rihanna performed in Los Angeles earlier this year where she revealed some of her issues with love. While the pop star and her ex-boyfriend 24-year-old singer-songwriter Chris Brown officially broke their romance off this year, he reportedly attended the show where Rihanna questioned love, People.com reports.

"How many of you are in love? How many of you hate love," Rihanna questioned last April before performing "What Now" at her concert. "How many of you don't (expletive) understand it? I'm in that group."
