Rihanna: Lessons Learned After Chris Brown Split Revealed?
Rihanna reportedly learned valuable life lessons about love during her tumultuous relationship with Chris Brown.
In May the Bajan singer, 15, and Brown, 23, ended their relationship just four months after announcing a reconciliation. Various reports suggested Los Angeles model, Karrueche Tran, was the main reason behind Brown and Rihanna's ongoing relationship woes and a source claims that the love triangle taught the pop star a lot about the importance of having trust in a relationship.
"[Rihanna] learned that without trust, you ain't got s---. You have to trust the guy you're with and vice-versa. When trust is gone, everything is bad. And that's something that's hard as f--- to repair," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"It can be done, but both people have to be mature and willing to work on it. It's not possible if only one person puts in the work," the source explained.
In 2009 Rihanna and Brown split due to their infamous domestic assault incident and in 2012 they reconciled. Although they both agreed to work on the relationship, sources claim it was never the same as the trust was gone.
"When [Rihanna] had some downtime on tour, she would read relationship books and search online about love and how to rebuild trust to make sure she wasn't the one who was crazy," the source said. "And guess what? She isn't crazy. Rihanna did what she had to do."
Brown has been photographed spending more time with Tran, 25, in recent weeks and Rihanna reportedly wishes them well. Reports claim the "Diamonds" singer has no plans of reconciling with Brown again.
"Not a chance," a source said about whether Rihanna is jealous of Tran and Brown's relationship. "She's glad she isn't the one who has to deal with his bull---. More power to her though."
Rihanna is currently focused on performing in her Diamonds world tour and not on her love life. The singer is reportedly ready to move forward and put the past behind her.
"She's cool on all his drama," a source close to Rihanna revealed. "Nobody has time for that. Life is way too short, and it's just better to cut the losses now and move on."
