Rihanna Rushed to Hospital After Weeks of Hard Partying
Rihanna was reportedly rushed to hospital after a night of hard partying at the Met Gala which was held on Monday night in Manhattan, New York.
The singer tweeted a picture of her arm hooked up to an IV and was said to be receiving treatment for "exhaustion" and "dehydration," according to Media Takeout.
While the 24-year-old appeared to be fine when she arrived at the Met Ball during her red carpet appearance, it was inside the elite event that she was reportedly intoxicated and displaying odd behavior.
Rihanna posted photos from the event with strange captions which gave credence to the theory that she may have consumed too much alcohol.
In one picture the Bajan singer is seen kissing rapper Rick Ross alongside the caption, "We gonna have babies," which caused a Twitter frenzy.
In another photo Rihanna posted a picture of Lala Anthony's nearly exposed chest area but cut out her face with the caption "How beautiful is @lala?" which some fans blasted as disrespectful.
On Saturday Rihanna reportedly angered the producers of "Saturday Night Live" after missing her dress rehearsal, according to TMZ.
The show's creator Lorne Michaels was furious after she called in sick because she appeared to be just fine when she showed up later on for her live performance.
"Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show," Rihanna's representative told TMZ when asked why she failed to appear for the dress rehearsal.
A doctor was reportedly brought in to treat Rihanna in her dressing room shortly before her performance and she was given a shot of penicillin backstage to help her sore throat.
The "We Found Love" singer has been spotted partying hard in recent weeks at various events including a Queens, N.Y. strip club and the Coachella festival.
Fans became increasingly worried when Rihanna posted a controversial picture on Instagram recently which led to speculation that she may be on drugs.
She was seen sitting on her body guard's shoulders laying out a white powdery substance on his bald head alongside the carefree caption "Memories don't live like people do #coachella."
