Rihanna Should Celebrate Being Single

Contrary to all the rumors of a reunion with Chris Brown, Rihanna insists that she is "not looking for love."

In a new interview with Jonathan Ross, she bluntly stated, "Single life is so overrated. It sucks. I have such incredible experiences in my life. You don't want to live your life and then meet someone. You want to share your life with someone. That's what I'm missing right now."

Others may completely disagree and actually enjoy being single for a time, especially after the year that Rihanna has had. After a domestic dispute that turned violent, many may think it a good idea for her to remain single and heal.

A user named "Guest" wrote on People.com, "No, being single doesn't suck. It's a case of the grass is always greener. People who are married/relationships yearn for their single days again and vice versa. No one is ever satisfied with what they have."

"I'm not dating anyone right now," Rihanna added. "I'm not dating at all, like it's kind of whack. That's why I stay on Twitter a lot. So I can converse with my fans because I don't get any booty calls."

Though she has been linked back with Chris Brown in her professional and personal life, for now it doesn't appear that the two are reconciling. People were stunned that the former couple would reunite to perform on the singles "Birthday Cake" and "Turn Up the Music."

"This is really shocking," noted USA Today reader Kkg Dine. "This is a terrible example Rihanna is setting for other women." Chibuzo Okwuaka disagreed and stated, "If Rihanna could forgive Chris, why can't the rest of us? He accepted that what he did was wrong."

Perhaps Rihanna should take a listen to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and celebrate being safely on her own.
