Rihanna slammed CBS for it's last minute decision to pull her opening from last week's "Thursday Night Football."

The Bajan Pop Star, 26, took to social networking site Instagram on Tuesday to openly blast the network after it was revealed that her musical intro will air this week instead. The network chose to scrap Rihanna's opening in the wake of the Ray Rice drama because of her infamous 2008 domestic assault incident involving Chris Brown.

"CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*** you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this," she tweeted to her 37 million followers. "The audacity..."

Last week's "Thursday Night Football" show featured the Pittsburgh Steelers VS Baltimore Ravens. Days prior, Rice was dropped by the Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL after a graphic video showed him assaulting his wife Janay.

In 2008 Brown, 25, infamously assaulted Rihanna, leaving her bruised and battered and while there was no video footage of the incident, photos of her injuries sparked outrage worldwide.

"We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone coverage," CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said of pulling Rihanna's opening.

Domestic violence has become a hot button issue in the media lately, particularly as it relates to the NFL.

In July, well before all of the footage of the assault surfaced online, Rice was suspended for the first two games of the 2014 NFL season over the incident.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who insists he had not seen the video prior to its release last week, later announced a policy change to the NFL for players who commit acts of domestic violence. They are now subject to longer suspensions.

Also, last week Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges after graphic photos revealed he seriously injured his 4-year-old son while "disciplining" him with a switch. After a brief hiatus, the halfback, 29, will return to practice and team meetings ahead of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

"Today's decision was made after significant thought, discussion and consideration," the team's owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf said in a statement obtained by ESPN. "We will continue to monitor the situation closely and support Adrian's fulfillment of his legal responsibilities throughout this process."
