Rihanna Vogue Cover Wows Fans; Singer Talks Chris Brown in Interview
Rihanna will appear on the cover of Vogue for the second time in two years in November and the singer has been hailed a "natural" for her artistic modeling shots.
The 24-year-old took to her Twitter page on Saturday where she was evidently beaming with pride as she announced landing her second Vogue cover to her mother.
"Mama I made it! Here's #2," Rihanna tweeted.
The Bajan singer appears kneeling and slightly leaning forward in a field of hay while dressed in a red strapless dress with matching bold lipstick. Her eyes ooze intensity, and her pixie cut compliments the trendy-meets-demure look she made popular.
"I Love To Have Fun," reads the front page cover line, but the "We Found Love" singer reportedly also discusses serious topics- particularly her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The pair has reportedly reconciled following their split over a domestic assault incident in 2009.
"They haven't seen any progress in our friendship," Rihanna told Vogue regarding her and Brown's critics. "They can't see what I see, unless they're sitting in my point of view. I guess I'll learn to accept that."
Rihanna also spoke about her frustrations over the intense scrutiny surrounding their relationship. She said that she feels the world acts as if "there's no closure" in her relationship with Brown, and that her critics have harbored "an obsession that's continued even throughout when we weren't friends or couldn't be friends at all."
Fans flocked to social networking sites, where many applauded Rihanna for the results of the high fashion photoshoot.
"This Vogue photo shoot is really different than anything Rihanna did before tbh. It shows so much growth and fierceness!" V tweeted.
"RIHANNA VOGUE NEW PHOTOS ARE MY WHOLE LIFE SHE LOOKS LIKE THE QUEEN SHE IS," Christy tweeted.
"@rihanna the vogue photos looks amazing!" Emma tweeted.
