Keeping Up With the Kardashians Latest News: Rob Kardashian in Rehab? Reps Slam Rumors
Rob Kardashian is not in a rehabilitation facility for substance abuse issues, despite recent reports.
After tabloid reports surfaced about the 27-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star checking into the Meadows Trauma and Addiction rehabilitation center in Wickenburg, Ariz., his people denied the claims.
"Rob is not in rehab," a source reportedly told E!, the home of the Kardashians' reality television series.
A source told the network that Kardashian is doing well after people have been speculating about his reported depression do to excessive weight gain.
"He was in really good spirits, seemed very much himself," the source told E! "Said he'd been working out every day and was focused on getting back in shape."
While Rob has been vocal about not being comfortable with putting on an excessive amount of weight, his older sister Khloe has lashed out at those criticizing his progress or what some may view as a lack thereof.
"People give, especially guys, such a hard time to lose weight, because people expect men to lose weight so much faster," Khloe, 29, said in a previous interview, according to Perez Hilton. "But losing weight in general is so hard and it takes a lot of time and determination. It doesn't happen in one day!"
Rob previously spoke about his struggles with weight gain to Entertainment Tonight.
"Getting healthy ... is huge for me," he told ET last October. "I've really just kind of changed my whole lifestyle with taking supplements and working out twice a day."
Still, he admitted that it isn't easy living life in the public eye where people scrutinize him so heavily.
"Honestly, you do not listen to half the things [that are said] 'cause most of the time 90 percent of 'em aren't even true, but it still has an effect on you," he admitted. "Even with myself: People say all these negative things about my weight gain when I'm just trying to fix myself and better myself."
