Rob Kardashian Sued: Reality Star Accused of Assaulting, Robbing Paparazzo
Rob Kardashian has reportedly been slapped with a lawsuit by a paparazzi photographer who claims the reality TV star assaulted her and stole her camera equipment.
Andra Vaik claims she was approached by Kardashian, 26, after snapping pictures of the E! reality star as he left a West Hollywood gym. He is accused of losing his cool when Vaik took shirtless pictures of him.
"While this case is still in the preliminary stage, it is clear from our investigation that Robert Kardashian's violent behavior and his use of force towards Ms. Vaik was completely unjustified," attorneys for Vaik told TMZ.
Kardashian allegedly snatched the memory card from Vaik's camera and took off to prevent the photos from being released. Sources close to the reality star allege Vaik had trespassed onto private property at the time of incident.
The aspiring sock designer admittedly gained a substantial amount of weight in recent months following his split from U.K. pop star Rita Ora. His weight has been a sensitive topic recently and he admitted to breaking down at times over the issue during an interview with Ryan Seacrest.
"Every time I hop in the shower and see myself naked I cry," Kardashian told Seacrest adding "There's a lot of haters in the world."
This is not the first time that Kardashian, who is the younger brother of the famous Kardashian sisters, has faced legal woes over a run-in with paparazzi.
In 2012 he was handcuffed and detained by Miami police after having an argument with Ora. Kardashian was accused of threatening a paparazzi photographer.
"He's attacking me! He chased me ... he tried to kill me, he almost killed me! You're crazy!" the unidentified photographer is heard yelling in video footage taken from the incident.
Two officers are then seen pushing Kardashian towards a store exit before he is pressed up against a glass cabinet and handcuffed.
"For what? You're kidding me right now! Can I ask you for what reason?" a puzzled Kardashian asks the arresting officer.
