Rob Pattinson 'Wasted' at Bar; Prepares for First Interview Amid Cheating Scandal
Robert Pattinson was reportedly spotted drinking his sorrows away at a bar in Ojai, Calif. over the weekend following a recent cheating scandal involving his girlfriend and a married man.
Kristen Stewart, Pattinson's girlfriend of three years, publicly admitted to cheating on him with 41-year-old married film director Rupert Sanders, which forced the 26-year-old into hiding. Pattinson recently emerged at The Deer Lodge, a bar that is said to be close to where the actor has been hiding out in recent weeks.
"Robert Pattinson and his friends are at The Deer Lodge getting wasted," Twitter user Julie Demdam tweeted on Saturday according to the New York Daily News.
"Rob is with some p---- droppers. They're on the dance floor dancing like crazy," another post read.
One Deer Lodge employee confirmed that the "Twilight" actor was present at the venue over the weekend.
"I've been told by several people that Robert Pattinson was here enjoying the music with his friends. He seemed in good spirits," the Deer Lodge employee told RadarOnline.com. "I wasn't on that night so I didn't personally see him, but several others did."
The report follows news that Pattinson is ready to speak publicly for the first time since news of the cheating scandal broke.
He will appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" for a sit down interview on Wednesday, Aug. 15 to promote his new film "Cosmopolis" it has been revealed.
"GMA" confirmed Pattinson's first post-cheating-scandal interview via an announcement on Monday on its program, according to RadarOnline.com.
Pattinson is said to be "in shock" after learning that Stewart cheated. Intimate photographs of Stewart and Sanders were released by the media which prompted the actress to release a public apology for the tryst.
"Rob is in shock that Kristen cheated on him, he is absolutely devastated. But right now he doesn't want to say anything in public until he figures out what he's going to do," a source close to the actor said.
