Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Headed for Reunion? Couple to Meet in Person
After several weeks of separation following the revelation of cheating, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are planning a reunion of sorts. Pattinson reportedly feels sorry for Stewart since the media has taken his side and vilified the actress.
Pattinson moved out of the home he once shared with Stewart after it was revealed that Stewart had cheated with director Rupert Sanders. He has not had any contact with Stewart since the news broke, and the public has taken staunch sides in the aftermath, going so far as to produce t-shirts calling Stewart as a "trampire."
Stewart allegedly "begged to meet [Pattinson] face to face so they could talk. It was obvious Kristen was getting through to Rob and he has agreed to see her," a friend told Look magazine. "In fact, he admitted that it must be worse for her because she's not just dealing with heartbreak, but being portrayed as a villain, while he gets all the sympathy."
Pattinson has been texting with superstar Rihanna and has leaned on friend Reese Witherspoon since the separation. He has been on a whirlwind of publicity, appearing on Jon Stewart's show and sharing ice cream with the host, which has only brought him more sympathy from the public.
The backlash against Stewart, however, has been just as swift and intense. Fans immediately posted their disgust and anger at Stewart, and one even posted a video asking why Stewart had cheated on Pattinson.
"For the first couple of weeks he was wallowing in his own grief, but being forced to face people during this promo, and seeing how angry everyone is with Kristen, made him feel sad for her," the friend explained.
Speculation about a Pattinson-Stewart reunion has been fueled by Pattinson and Stewart each being spotted wearing the other's clothes.
"Rob and Kristen always wore each other's clothes when they lived together, and the fact that they've not stopped doing that could be a signal that it's not over between them," a different source told Heat magazine.
